Sabrina Carpenter won her first MTV Video Music Award for Best Song of the Year with her hit "Espresso" at the 2024 VMAs.
Dressed in a stunning white gown, the "Please Please Please" singer accepted her award and delivered a heartfelt speech. "I've literally never won one of these, so this is really special," Carpenter said. "The first people I want to thank are the fans."
Her heartfelt gratitude earned her a round of applause, which she humorously addressed: "If you clap after everything I say, they might kick me off the stage, so just hold on a second."
She continued, "You guys are the reason I get to do what I love and have so much fun sharing music with you. I'm incredibly grateful to have the best fans in the world. I know it sounds cheesy, but I really do love you."
