WhatsApp to allow users to open status updates directly from viewer list

WhatsApp is currently testing a new feature that lets users view status updates directly from the list of viewers on their own status updates.

With this update, users will see a green ring around the profile picture of contacts who have also posted a status update when they check who viewed their status. This functionality is part of WhatsApp’s efforts to enhance user experience by making it easier to interact with status updates.

According to WABetaInfo, the feature is being rolled out with the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.19.4, which is available on the Google Play Store. This addition aims to improve visibility and accessibility to new content by allowing users to view status updates without having to navigate through the status tab.

The report notes that this feature is currently available to a select group of beta testers and will be expanded to more users in the near future.
