Video: Lawyer Faisal Chaudhry engages in verbal altercation with Adiala jail staffer

1. Chaudhry registers complaint against jail administration at Adiala jail checkpost
Faisal Chaudhry, the lawyer representing imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, had a tense confrontation with Adiala Jail officials on Thursday after he was denied entry to the facility.
In a video obtained by Geo News, Chaudhry can be heard verbally confronting Assistant Superintendent Imran Riaz as he attempted to visit Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated at Adiala Jail. "Why was I stopped? Who dares to prevent me from entering?" Chaudhry demanded, while the assistant superintendent attempted to explain the situation.
Following the incident, Chaudhry filed a formal complaint at the Adiala Jail checkpost. In his written complaint, he emphasized that his "power of attorney" covers all of Imran Khan's cases and expressed his frustration at being blocked from entering the prison.
Chaudhry also mentioned that an anti-terrorism court had scheduled a hearing related to the attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ). He further complained that he was forced to remain in the deputy superintendent's room for two hours while protesting the incident. The lawyer also accused the jail staff of harassment towards him and other petitioners, urging the authorities to take legal action against the personnel involved.
Imran Khan, the 71-year-old former cricketer-turned-politician, has been imprisoned since August of the previous year after being sentenced in the Toshakhana case-I, one of the many legal battles he faces since his removal from office in April 2022.
