Meghan Markle, whose relationship with the royal family has seen some unexpected shifts in recent months, has reportedly been given a striking new title by Palace staff.

The Duchess, who married Prince Harry in 2018, is now living a peaceful life in Montecito with her husband and their two children, Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor.

According to a new royal book, the former "Suits" star has been playfully dubbed "Mystic Meg" by royal staff. This nickname refers to the late astrologer Mystic Meg, who gained fame in the 1990s for her horoscopes and astrology-related feats.

The details were shared in royal author Tom Quinn's book "Yes Ma'am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants," which unveils shocking new revelations about the Duchess.

According to the book, older members of staff referred to Meghan as "Mrs. Simpson come back to haunt us," a reference to Wallis Simpson, the American divorcée whose marriage to Prince Edward VIII led to his abdication.

One of Harry's senior aides, now retired, claimed that during meetings with the Prince, Harry's mind seemed to be elsewhere, focused more on supporting Meghan and adopting her perspective on the world.

In an excerpt published by The Times, Quinn describes how Kensington Palace staff became divided into groups: those who supported Meghan and those who opposed her. This created an atmosphere of "swirling rumours, gossip, and backbiting."

Despite the challenges, Quinn notes that Meghan, though sometimes dubbed "the Duchess of Difficult," had her share of supporters, particularly among ordinary staff who admired her passion for change and her strong-willed nature.

One former staff member even revealed that Harry had become "far more concerned about social issues and the rights of minorities" since Meghan's arrival, a shift that younger staff appreciated, though some older staff thought he had lost his way.
