PCB Unveils Pakistan’s Jersey for ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially revealed the national team's jersey for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 during the grand reopening ceremony of the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.
The 15-member squad unveiled the kit in a star-studded event, accompanied by a minute-long promo featuring white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Women’s cricketers Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana also starred in the promotional campaign.
Pakistan’s Champions Trophy 2025 Campaign
As the host nation and defending champions, Pakistan will commence their campaign at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, facing New Zealand in the curtain-raiser on February 19. The much-anticipated clash against arch-rivals India is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai, followed by a final group-stage fixture against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on February 27.
The eight-team tournament, featuring 15 matches, will take place from February 19 to March 9 across Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai.
Tournament Format & Venues
The eight teams are divided into two groups:
- Group A: Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh
- Group B: Afghanistan, South Africa, England, Australia
Pakistan will host 10 matches, while four matches, including all three of India’s group-stage games and the first semi-final, will be played in Dubai.
The final is set for Lahore, but if India qualifies, it will be relocated to Dubai. A reserve day has also been designated for the final to counter potential weather disruptions.
