Rihanna has spoken out following the not-guilty verdict in A$AP Rocky’s felony shooting trial.
After the court’s decision, the Umbrella singer took to her Instagram Story on February 18 to share a heartfelt reaction.
"The glory belongs to God and to God alone," wrote the 36-year-old, expressing her gratitude. She added, "Thankful, humbled by His mercy," signing off with a praying hands emoji.
The emotional post came shortly after the courtroom announcement. Rihanna, who shares two children with Rocky, was seen breaking down in tears as he rushed to embrace her.
Rocky later celebrated the verdict with Rihanna and his legal team inside the courtroom.
Outside, he expressed his gratitude to both God and the jury, saying, "Thank y'all for saving my life. Thank y'all for making the right decision," according to DailyMail.com.
He continued, "I'm just so thankful. This is crazy right now. This whole experience has been crazy for the past four years, but I'm thankful, nonetheless. I'm thankful and blessed to be here as a free man talking to you all."
Meanwhile, Rocky’s legal team clarified that the shots in question were actually blanks fired from a prop gun used in a music video, as reported by the Associated Press.
