1. RAWALPINDI: PTI leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan will go on a hunger strike if the injustice does not stop inside the Adiala jail where he is incarcerated,

After meeting with the party head in Adiala jail, PTI leader Shamim Naqvi addressed the media and warned that if the perceived injustices continue, PTI founder Imran Khan will go on a hunger strike. Naqvi mentioned that such an action by Khan would likely lead to a nationwide hunger strike.

Naqvi criticized the government, emphasizing that holding new elections is the only viable solution, stating that restoring the dignity of the vote is more important than the Rs 54 million spent. He also mentioned that Khan is preparing for protests and has expressed his readiness to mobilize supporters if called upon.

The United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention has demanded Imran Khan's immediate release, stating that his detention violates international law. They asserted that Khan's release should be accompanied by compensation and reparations, highlighting that his detention was reportedly used for political purposes. Khan also voiced concerns over the budget and the anticipated inflation crisis during his discussions.
