Experts are increasingly suggesting that Prince Harry appears to be growing more desperate for a reconciliation with Prince William and King Charles.

Royal author and biographer Richard Eden recently shared these observations during an interview on the Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential podcast. Eden pointed to Prince Harry’s recent trip to Colombia, noting, “Harry certainly doesn’t look happy. If you see images from the Colombia visit, he appears increasingly miserable.”

Eden believes it has become “increasingly clear” that Harry is eager for a family reconciliation, if not a return to royal duties. He highlighted that although Harry’s memoir is about to be released in paperback, it will not include any new material or interviews—actions that might otherwise be expected from a best-selling book. Eden speculated that Harry’s decision may be an attempt to avoid further antagonizing his family.

Similarly, Sir Ian McKellen has commented on Harry’s situation, suggesting that being born into the Royal Family is akin to living in a “prison” with strict public expectations. McKellen added that Harry might lack the intellectual resources or the right support network, though he did acknowledge Harry’s fortunate romantic opportunities, wishing him well in his choice of partner.
