ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Political Coordination Committee and the government committee are set to meet today (Monday) to address issues affecting both parties. These committees were established following PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's expressed disappointment and serious concerns over being sidelined in consultations and unfulfilled promises by coalition partner, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), in the Shehbaz Sharif-led government.
On Sunday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari chaired a virtual meeting of the PPP’s Political Coordination Committee. The discussion centered on key issues to be presented in the upcoming meeting with the PMLN. The meeting also reviewed the current political landscape of the country.
Participants of the virtual session included former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Senator Sherry Rehman, PPP South Punjab President Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood, Syed Naveed Qamar, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and Ali Haider Gilani.
Last week, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar agreed to facilitate dialogue between the PPP and PMLN committees to resolve conflicts between the coalition partners.

In response, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed a committee to resolve differences and improve cooperation. This committee includes Deputy Prime Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam, Advisor Rana Sanaullah, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan, Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and PMLN leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, and Bashir Ahmed Memon.
