Kapil Sharma Announces Third Season of The Great Indian Kapil Show on OTT; Reveals Coldplay's Interest in Appearing

Kapil Sharma and his team are back for the third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show on OTT, and fans are already excited. During the announcement, Sharma shared some interesting details about the upcoming season, including an amusing story about his team and a humorous exchange with Sunil Grover.

One of the most surprising revelations came when Kapil Sharma mentioned that Coldplay, the globally renowned British band, had expressed interest in appearing on the show. Coldplay, which recently performed multiple concerts in India, has a massive fan following in the country. Sharma revealed that the band had actually reached out via email, saying they wanted to be a part of the show.

"Humlog toh inko (makers) bole pura saal set lagake rakhho. Aap believe nahi karoge log Coldplay ke liye ticket le rahe hain, unka email humein aa raha tha humein aapke show mein aana," Sharma shared. "We had asked the makers to keep the set ready all year. You wouldn’t believe it—people were buying Coldplay tickets, but they sent us an email saying they wanted to come to our show. I said, 'They should have come, but our show isn’t running right now.' So, a simple request to Netflix—please keep it going."

In a light-hearted moment, Sharma also joked about his past disagreements with Sunil Grover when Maniesh Paul asked what audiences could expect from Season 3. "Season 3 is for them; for us, it’s just another episode. It’s like a 200-episode serial. We don’t stop until there’s a fight among ourselves," he quipped.

The previous two seasons of The Great Indian Kapil Show also featured Sharma’s core team, including Archana Puran Singh, Rajiv Thakur, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, and Sunil Grover.
