Jessica Alba recently opened up about an emotional moment she experienced while looking at a photo of herself and her daughter.
In an exclusive interview with People magazine promoting the My Life Pictures series, the 42-year-old actress shared her feelings about her 16-year-old daughter Honor surpassing her in height. Alba described the realization as "a tough pill to swallow."
She recounted the incident, which occurred during the Covid pandemic when friends were visiting. "Our friends were over, and they were about to have a baby. One of them pointed out, ‘Honor’s taller than you,’ and I was in denial," Alba said. "He insisted, ‘Yes she is... Stand back-to-back,’ and he took a photo. I just started crying."
Reflecting on the moment, Alba said, "I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God, you’re taller than me,’" while mimicking her crying face. "I'm getting teary just thinking about it."
She expressed the difficulty of the experience, saying, "It was so horrible because it’s like, this is my baby, how is she taller than me? That was a tough pill to swallow."
