TLP calls off days-long Faizabad sit-in after reaching agreement with govt
1. Decision comes after federal government assures TLP it will speed up efforts to help Palestinians
The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has called off its sit-in in Faizabad, Islamabad, following successful negotiations with the federal government. The TLP's protest aimed to push for increased support for Palestinians amid ongoing Israeli actions since clashes began in October last year.
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah, along with Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and TLP leaders, announced the end of the sit-in. The government assured that it would intensify its efforts to support Palestinians, with a shipment of over 1,000 tonnes of goods, including fruits and medicines, set to be dispatched to Palestine by July 31.
Sanaullah also condemned Israel, labeling it a terrorist state and accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of committing war crimes against innocent citizens.
