Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, has provided an update on his wife, Duchess Sophie’s health, after she was accidentally struck in the head by a golf ball during a royal engagement.
According to reports, the Duchess was attempting to play crazy golf in Windsor when the incident occurred. Unfortunately, she was hit by a ball she had struck herself.
The following day, Prince Edward attended an engagement in Cambridge, visiting Wandlebury Woods. His appearance appeared to signal that Sophie was doing well.
Later, the palace released photos of Prince Edward’s visit, with a statement reading: “The Duke of Edinburgh visited Cambridge Junction this week to learn about the charity and arts center's work with young people and emerging artists.”
The statement continued, "During the visit, His Royal Highness met artists and young people benefiting from the center's programs, including learners from the Olive Academy who participated in a DJ workshop, and local musicians sound-checking for the venue's long-running emerging band night.”
The statement concluded, "The Duke also spoke with apprentices and staff, as well as members of Cambridge Junction’s artist development program, who were rehearsing new performance pieces, before unveiling a plaque to commemorate their first Royal visit.”
