Michael Keaton 'loved every second' of filming 'Beetlejuice' sequel
1. Michael Keaton reprised his titular role for the 'Beetlejuice' sequel
Michael Keaton is unfazed by what others might think of *Beetlejuice 2*.
The 73-year-old actor, who reprises his iconic role in the sequel to the 1988 dark fantasy film, relished every moment of filming and remains indifferent to public opinion.
Despite feeling “nervous” initially, Keaton is pleased with how the project turned out and praised his co-stars Justin Theroux, who plays Rory, and Catherine O'Hara, who returns as Delia Deetz.
In an interview on the *SmartLess* podcast, Keaton expressed his confidence, saying, "I’ll tell you, when I say I don’t care what anybody else thinks of it, I’m speaking from a personal place. There are movies I’ve loved that others have hated and vice versa. It’s all subjective."
He added, "Even if every person I meet for the rest of my life says, 'That second Beetlejuice really wasn’t great,' I’d still say, ‘Not to me.’”
Keaton further described the film as “beautiful” and full of humor, noting, “It’s got so many elements. Every person in it is funny—Justin Theroux, Catherine O’Hara is even funnier than she was in the first one.”
