Meghan Markle kicked off the New Year with a major surprise for her fans, marking her long-awaited return to social media.

In what seems to be a move to establish her independence from her husband, Prince Harry, Meghan made her debut on social media this Wednesday.

The Duchess of Sussex, who had hinted at returning in 2023, shared a pointed message aimed at the royal family, particularly King Charles, about her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Despite reports that the cancer-stricken monarch is eager to meet his grandchildren amidst the royal rift, Meghan is reportedly not keen on taking them to the UK. A royal expert commented that the former Suits actress often delivers a subtle message in her actions.

“I think she realizes that she wants to start 2025 on a very positive and strong note,” royal expert Ingrid Seward told The Sun. “You know, ‘look at me, I’m here. Watch out for me and what I’m doing.’” She added, “It’s nothing to do with her and the children or her and Harry – it’s just her.”

Seward also pointed out that, as Meghan takes center stage, she’s making a conscious effort to keep her children out of the spotlight. “I think it’s all about Meghan – ‘I’ve done my mothering bit. You’re not going to see my kids,’” she said. “She’s been very, very careful to keep them out of camera range, and it’s her.”

As for her career, Seward suggested that after facing negative press in 2024, Meghan is opting for a new strategy, aiming for a fresh start in her professional life.
