"Sting Announces Unexpected 'Incremental' Collaboration with Snoop Dogg"

"Sting has just revealed an exciting new collaboration with Snoop Dogg.

During his performance at the BC Radio 2 in The Park stage in Preston, Lancashire, on Saturday, Sting announced the project with the hip-hop legend.

Before his headlining set at Moor Park, Sting shared his aspiration as a musician: to create music that remains relevant and performed for years to come.

He then introduced his upcoming project with Snoop Dogg: a reimagined version of his classic hit, "Message in a Bottle," set for release in November this year.

Sting commented, "Snoop and I have recorded a version of 'Message in a Bottle,' which he’s renamed. I played the guitar and sang on it, but Snoop also adds his own vocals, which was quite surprising to me."

Praising Snoop Dogg, Sting added, "He’s a really nice guy."

Sting elaborated on his creative process, saying, "I enjoy performing hits, but it’s crucial for me to bring the same passion and energy to a song I wrote 40 years ago as if I had just written it today. I always seek out new ways to explore and refine my music, and that keeps me motivated. So, you might hear something tonight that might seem like a new twist."
