Man of house, two sons arrested in murder case of four women
1. Police say they are investigating from various aspects to uncover motive behind brutal killings
**KARACHI:** On Saturday, police apprehended a man and his two sons after the bodies of four women were discovered with their throats slit in a residential flat in the Lea Market area of Karachi's Lyari.
The horrifying incident took place on the seventh floor of a building, where the victims—identified as a mother, daughter, granddaughter, and daughter-in-law—were found in separate rooms, showing signs of severe torture. The authorities transported the bodies to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal examination.
According to police reports, all four women had been subjected to brutal treatment before their deaths. A Crime Scene Unit has been deployed to collect evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
The man of the house, Muhammad Farooq, claims he and his sons were not at home during the incident. Despite this, they have been taken into custody for further questioning. Farooq stated that he had no idea who might have committed the murders and insisted that neither he nor his sons were present when the killings occurred.
"The police are investigating from multiple angles to uncover the motive behind these horrific murders and to identify those responsible," an official noted. "Surveillance camera footage from around the building is also being reviewed."
Authorities suspect that someone within the family may be involved in the crime.
