Prominent multinational corporations in the technology and business sectors are increasingly being led by individuals of Indian origin. CEOs with Indian roots are at the helm of several global giants, including Alphabet, Microsoft, YouTube, Adobe, IBM, and many more, foreign media reports reveal.
Tech Industry Giants
- Sundar Pichai has been the CEO of Alphabet Inc., Google’s parent company, since 2015. Born in India, Pichai is now based in the United States.
- Satya Nadella, leading Microsoft since 2014, is also India-born and settled in the US.
- Neal Mohan assumed the role of YouTube CEO in February 2023, after serving as the platform’s Chief Product Officer.
- Shantanu Narayen has been the CEO of Adobe Inc. since December 2007, following his tenure as the company’s COO.
- Arvind Krishna became IBM’s CEO in April 2020 and its Chairman in 2021. Born in Andhra Pradesh, he is now a US citizen.
