Man charged with Trump's murder attempt denies charges
1. "I'm 100% a Trump supporter," claims Vem Miller
Vem Miller, who was arrested outside a Trump rally at Coachella for allegedly plotting to murder former Republican President Donald Trump, has denied the charges against him.
In an interview with Fox News, Miller stated, "I don't know anything about guns. I am beyond a novice." He added, "I always travel with my firearms in the back of my truck," yet emphasized, "I've literally never even shot a gun in my life."
Although he previously identified as a Democratic supporter, Miller declared himself “100% a Trump supporter” and noted that he’s “certainly more Republican now.” He described his admiration for Trump, stating he has been “all-in” since 2018.
When questioned by police about the discovery of forged documents in his vehicle, Miller insisted, "None of those are fake," in reference to the misleading IDs and passports.
Sources close to the Trump campaign informed Fox News that they do not believe Miller's actions constituted an assassination attempt; however, an official statement from the Republican Party has yet to be released.
A spokesperson for the Trump campaign commented to Fox, "We thank law enforcement for securing the rally site and ensuring the safety of President Trump. We are aware of news reports regarding the arrest and are currently monitoring the situation to gather more information."
