Kate Middleton plans major surprise for Prince Harry for his 40th birthday

Kate Middleton is reportedly planning a special surprise for Prince Harry as he approaches his 40th birthday, according to a former royal butler.

Closer Magazine reports that the Princess of Wales is expected to act as a “mediator” between her husband, Prince William, and her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, during the milestone celebration.

Paul Burrell, who served as Princess Diana’s butler for nearly a decade, shared his thoughts with the outlet, suggesting that Kate may be organizing a royal reconciliation. “Kate has always been the mediator and seeks fairness. I’m sure she would love nothing more than for William to reach out and wish Harry a happy 40th, possibly leading to mending their relationship,” Burrell said.

However, he acknowledged that Kate must also be mindful of William’s feelings about his estranged brother. “Kate has to understand where William is coming from. He views this as a sensitive issue—he feels betrayed by Harry,” Burrell explained.

Despite her desire for peace, Burrell pointed out that Kate may be limited in her efforts. “She can’t push too hard because she knows how strongly William feels, even though she’ll naturally feel conflicted about reaching out,” he added.

Burrell also noted that William has distanced himself from Harry, making reconciliation difficult at this time. "William has closed off from Harry, and there isn’t much room for negotiation right now. Both William and Kate have enough on their plates," he concluded.
