This clip was released shortly after Kate's emotional video about her cancer journey, leading to accusations that the Sussexes were trying to steal Kate’s spotlight.
Critics, including Piers Morgan, pointed out that the Netflix teaser was launched just "100 minutes" after Kate's video went live.
Despite the controversy, Meghan remained calm and reflective, recounting a visit to a bookstore during a trip to New York five years ago. She shared her experience of finding solace in bookstores, particularly during a time when she felt uncomfortable being in the public eye.
Meghan reminisced about her low-profile visit to New York to support her friend Serena Williams at the U.S. Open, emphasizing how important it was for her to find safety and comfort in bookstores. “Sneaking to New York five years ago was a really big deal for me,” Meghan said. “I was still so uncomfortable being out in the world. The safety I craved, I knew I could find in a bookstore.”
