The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts hot and dry weather in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and most parts of Pakistan for the next two days. Continental air prevails over the country, with a shallow westerly wave affecting northern regions.
**Weather Outlook:**
- **Tuesday and Following Days:** Expect hot and dry conditions in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and across most of Pakistan. Central and southern plain areas may experience extremely hot weather.
- **Possibility of Rain/Thunderstorms:** Isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may witness partly cloudy weather with light rain/thunderstorms during the evening and night.
**Temperature Projections:**
- **Islamabad:** Maximum temperatures ranging between 40-42°C are anticipated for Tuesday and Wednesday.
- **Rawalpindi:** Maximum temperatures expected to range between 39-41°C on Tuesday and Wednesday.
**Recent Weather Conditions:**
- **Last 24 Hours:** Hot and dry weather persisted in the twin cities and most parts of the country. Southern areas experienced extremely hot weather, with scattered rainfall reported in some areas.
- **Maximum Temperatures:** Bhakar recorded the highest temperature at 47°C, followed by Jacobabad and Sibbi at 46°C. Other areas such as Mohenjo-Daro, Bahawalnagar, Gujranwala, Khairpur, Noorpur Thal, Rohri, and Sukkur recorded temperatures at 45°C.
- **Relative Humidity:** In Islamabad, the evening relative humidity was recorded at 22%, while in Rawalpindi, it was 15%.
