David Beckham recreates iconic look with Victoria despite criticism

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary by recreating their iconic wedding after-party look. The couple, who married on July 4, 1999, at Luttrellstown Castle near Dublin, originally wore matching purple Antonio Berardi outfits to cut their wedding cake. For their silver anniversary, they have recreated this monochrome look in a new photoshoot.

David shared the photos on Instagram with the caption, "Look what we found…,” showcasing the couple sitting on thrones and holding hands. Victoria added a modern twist to her look with silver stilettos and loose waves in her hair. Although it is unclear if they are wearing the same outfits from 1999, they looked strikingly similar.

David previously reflected on the purple outfits during an interview with Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, humorously comparing his look to the characters from "Dumb & Dumber." He remarked, "I look like the guys out of Dumb & Dumber when they went to that party and wore those ridiculous outfits. I even had a top hat in purple. Unbelievable. What was I thinking?"
