Digitizing E-Registry and property transfer services are being offered in several regions and now residents of capital city will experience transparent mechanism for real estate transactions.

By streamlining processes and reducing paperwork, CDA launched digital systems that can expedite transactions and lower administrative involvement.

Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa made the announcement about the new facility, saying the process of digitizing E-Registry and property transfer services will start from August 14, 2024.

With the new introduction of digitalization effort, people will get better view of property sales and purchases, including those involving gift transfers, power of attorney, mortgages, and other methods.

The development comes during a meeting at the CDA headquarters chaired by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, and Chairman of the CDA. Representatives from relevant departments attended the meeting.

Documents would be scanned and indexed within two months as part of the project, which also includes digitizing maps, officials said.

The digitalization process will involve entering and updating historical records to address concerns about fraud and forgery. Property records linked to the Nadra system will be accessible to the public, and GIS mapping will be utilized.

This initiative will enable overseas Pakistanis to verify property statuses before engaging in transactions. CDA officials expressed confidence that the digitalization of property records will significantly enhance the efficiency and transparency of real estate transactions.
