Buckingham Palace's PR control sparked Meghan Markle's Royal struggles
1. Meghan Markle has been accused of being a difficult boss to work with by former employees
Steve Davies, Meghan Markle’s former bodyguard, has asserted that the Duchess of Sussex began experiencing challenges after Buckingham Palace took control of her public relations.
In an interview with *In Touch Weekly*, Davies reflected on a visit he made to Meghan in the UK after serving as her bodyguard in the US during her early relationship with Prince Harry. He noted that Meghan’s staff began to voice concerns about her once the Palace assumed PR management, contrasting it with the time when she had full control.
Davies stated that it was problematic for Meghan because “Buckingham Palace was controlling the PR, and Meghan was always accustomed to managing it herself with her team.” He added that Buckingham Palace staff expressed their frustrations, saying they “couldn’t stand working for her,” which he found surprising, considering that nobody in Toronto had a negative word to say about her.
Despite the mounting pressure, Davies defended Meghan, saying she remained “warm and considerate all the time.” He expressed that people might be surprised to learn just how friendly she is and how big-hearted she can be. “She’s great with her fans and goes out of her way to help others. That’s what hurts me — that people believe otherwise,” he said.
