ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced the immediate transfers and postings of 60 officers within the Inland Revenue Service (BS-17 to BS-20), effective until further notice.

Key Transfers and Appointments:

  • Mazhar Iqbal (BS-20): Transferred from Commissioner (Jhelum Zone), Regional Tax Office, Rawalpindi, and given additional charge as Commissioner-IR, Withholding, Regional Tax Office, Rawalpindi.
  • Ajaz Hussain (BS-20): Appointed as Chief (OPS) (ITP), IR-Policy Wing, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Headquarters, Islamabad.
  • Asif Rasool (BS-19): Appointed Chief (OPS) (ST & FE Policy), IR-Policy Wing, FBR Headquarters.
  • Ms. Fakhryia Anjum (BS-19): Transferred to Chief (OPS) (ST & FE Policy), IR-Policy Wing, FBR Headquarters.
  • Mushtaque Ali Wagan (BS-19): Appointed as Additional Commissioner, Regional Tax Office I, Karachi.
  • Ali Muhammad (BS-19): Assigned additional charge as Commissioner-IR, Refunds, Regional Tax Office, Rawalpindi.
  • Zahid Hussain Morio (BS-19): Transferred to Additional Commissioner, Corporate Tax Office, Karachi.

Additional Appointments:

  • Muhammad Sarim Bhatti (BS-18): Transferred to Additional Commissioner (OPS), Corporate Tax Office, Lahore.
  • Umair Akbar Soomro (BS-18): Appointed to Medium Taxpayers Office, Karachi.
  • Asif Nazir (BS-18): Transferred to Corporate Tax Office, Karachi.
  • Ms. Ghazala Nasir Siddique (BS-18): Assigned to Regional Tax Office, Sialkot.

Other Significant Transfers:

  • Officers, including Muhammad Ismail Danish, Ms. Kalpana, Sajjad Hussain, Zeeshan Ali, and others, have been reassigned across various regional and corporate tax offices in cities such as Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Bahawalpur.

The FBR emphasized that these postings are part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency within the Inland Revenue Service.
