Sindh govt to present budget 2024-25 on June 14

"Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, also serving as the finance minister, is scheduled to present the budget in the Sindh Assembly at 3 pm.

As per a letter released by the provincial finance department, the Sindh cabinet will convene tomorrow at the CM House to endorse the FY24-25 budget.

Meanwhile, the federal government is set to reveal the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, 2024-2025, today. Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb will deliver the budget speech on the National Assembly floor.

Government sources have indicated that the budget aims to alleviate the people's hardships, modernize the agriculture sector, promote information technology (IT), and enhance exports.

Additionally, the government asserts that the budget will focus on fiscal management, revenue generation, economic stabilization and growth measures, reduction in non-development expenditures, job creation, and the implementation of people-friendly policies for the country's socioeconomic prosperity.

Preparations for the announcement of the federal budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 are progressing vigorously in line with the specified timelines."
