The source told Daily Beast that the Palace occasionally posts for milestone birthdays of non-working royals but typically ignores non-landmark birthdays.
Despite this, a friend of King Charles revealed that the monarch genuinely wishes to remain involved in Harry's life. The friend noted that Charles's public wish for Harry's 40th birthday aligns with his desire to stay connected with his son and his family. "The King has made it very clear that he loves Harry and wants to be part of his and his family’s life," the friend explained. "Publicly wishing him a happy 40th birthday is consistent with that intention.”
