ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to strengthen cooperation in ensuring fairness and transparency in public procurement through the exchange of information on e-procurements (E-PADS).
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by NAB Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmad, Deputy Chairman NAB Sohail Nasir, Prosecutor General Accountability Syed Ihtasham Qadir Shah, PPRA Managing Director Hasanat Ahmad Qureshi, and other officials.
The agreement aims to enhance transparency and accountability by fostering collaboration between the two institutions. As part of the MoU, both organizations have committed to capacity-building initiatives for their institutions and other relevant procurement bodies. They will also work together to develop guidelines to prevent corruption, improve procurement policies, and refine procedures based on past experiences and successful case studies.
