As light showers continue in various parts of Karachi, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that light to heavy rains are expected in the port city over the next 24 hours.

Areas such as Malir Halt, Defence, Korangi, Landhi, Quaidabad, and their surrounding regions have already experienced light rain.

According to the Met Office, the rain system remains active over Karachi, with the city expected to stay cloudy, accompanied by strong winds. The current temperature stands at 27°C, with a maximum temperature of 32°C predicted. The sea breeze is anticipated to blow at a speed of 15 to 25 kilometers per hour, while the humidity level is recorded at 88%.

In response to the rainy weather, the traffic police have issued safety advisories, particularly for motorcyclists, recommending they stick to the left side of the road. They also warned against sudden braking, as wet roads may become slippery.

"Drive at reduced speeds and maintain as much distance as possible from the vehicle in front," the traffic police stated in their advisory.
