Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner finalize divorce post custody battle

Joe Jonas has officially ended his marriage to Sophie Turner, a year after filing for divorce.

According to *USA Today*, a final judgment in the case was reached on Friday, though specific details of the settlement were not immediately available.

Jonas initially filed for divorce from the *Game of Thrones* star in September, citing that their marriage was "irretrievably broken," according to the petition for dissolution.

Following the announcement of their split, Joe and Sophie released a joint statement: "After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives, but this is a united decision, and we hope everyone can respect our privacy for us and our children."

During the divorce process, Turner sued Jonas, alleging he had withheld their children's passports and prevented them from returning to England, her home country. However, in January, both parties' lawyers requested that a U.S. district judge dismiss the lawsuit, effectively ending Turner's case.

Additionally, court documents filed in New York revealed that a U.K. court had approved a consent order submitted by both parties, which included a parenting plan resolving the custody issues.
