Meanwhile, a private suite for the World Cup final in the United States was priced at $12,488 per ticket, considerably less than the premium ticket in the Zone Worrell Weeks Wolcott Premium section, which was priced at a staggering $104,062 per ticket.
Although cricket is not traditionally popular in the United States, the Indian diaspora has played a significant role in popularizing the sport. Figures such as Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen are among those investing nearly $1 billion in the new US professional league, Major League Cricket. This league's teams are expected to invest around $75 million to $100 million over the next few years, including the construction of new stadiums.
