Emma Roberts reveals dark side of dating fellow actors: 'It's hard'

Emma Roberts has revealed that she has no intention of dating fellow actors in the future. In a recent interview with Flaunt magazine, the 33-year-old actress discussed her past relationships, including her on-and-off relationship with her "American Horror Story" co-star Evan Peters and her romance with Garrett Hedlund, the father of her daughter.

Currently, Roberts is in a relationship with a boyfriend who is not part of the acting industry. Reflecting on her previous experiences, she mentioned, "One day the veil was lifted and I didn’t want to date actors anymore." She elaborated on the challenges of being in a relationship with another actor, stating, "It’s hard, I think, for two actors to be together. I’m trying to think if I’ve seen it done successfully."

Roberts also explained her disinterest in dating fellow performers, citing the intensity of Method acting as a factor. "The actors I’ve been with border on Method actors," she said, adding, "And that is something that I think is extremely difficult to be in a relationship with — at least for me, especially the characters that they were playing." She concluded by sharing that her new boyfriend is not "online," implying he maintains a low profile.
