Billy Crystal recalls Robert De Niro asking for critique over 'Analyze This' performance

Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal recently shared some lighthearted banter during a screening of their popular 1999 comedy, Analyze This.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the humorous exchange and Q&A session were facilitated by Gayle King at the Spring Studios’ Indeed Theater in New York.
Reflecting on the early days of filming, the 76-year-old actor disclosed that De Niro approached him, inviting feedback on his performance. Crystal fondly recalled, "He whispers because it's like, mafia guys they speak in whispers because it makes you come to them."
"And he says, 'Listen. If you see anything I can do funnier, better, take me aside and just let me know,'" Crystal recounted.
Crystal was struck by De Niro's openness, describing it as "an amazing, generous thing to do."
Crystal seized the opportunity to offer feedback to De Niro during filming, particularly during a scene where De Niro's character, the patient, introduces himself to Crystal's therapist character.
"I go, 'Come here. Is that all you got?' And then we just laughed and we just, throughout the whole movie you wouldn't think that we would just laugh as much as we did," Crystal reminisced.
