Chappell Roan has finally opened up about her reaction to photographers during her red carpet appearance at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

On Wednesday night, as she arrived, Roan, known for *Good Luck, Babe!*, confronted a photographer who had shouted, "shut the f*** up" while she was facing away. In response, she fired back, "You shut the f*** up! Don’t. Not me, b****!"

Later, the 26-year-old singer, who won Best New Artist at this year’s VMAs, explained her reaction. "I just want to be honest with the crowd," she said. "I feel a little off today because my career is moving so fast, and it’s really hard to keep up."

Roan continued, "I’m just having a hard time today. I’m not trying to give a lesser show; it’s just, there’s a lot going on."

She expressed gratitude for her fans' understanding, adding, "Thank you for understanding. This is all I’ve ever wanted. It’s just heavy sometimes."

In addition to her win, Roan was also nominated for Song of the Summer and Best Trending Video for her *HOT TO GO!* video.
