**GWADAR: The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) ended its sit-in on Thursday night after successful negotiations with local officials in Gwadar district.**
BYC called off its protests in Gwadar and across the province following an agreement signed by Dr. Mahrang Baloch, representing the protesters, and the Gwadar district’s deputy commissioner.
The Balochistan Home Ministry announced that internet services have been restored after the agreement. The deputy commissioner added, "The ministry vowed to open all roads for traffic and remove obstacles from the roads." Additionally, "The arrested people would be released after the protesters disperse peacefully."
The sit-in began when convoys of protesters were prevented from attending the BYC's meeting in Gwadar. Protesters from Mastung heading to the coastal city were dispersed, resulting in 14 injuries. The National Highway's closure affected traffic towards Karachi, Khuzdar, Hub, Kalat, Surab, Turbat, Panjgur, and Gwadar, causing difficulties for commuters as cargo trucks and passenger cars were stuck in various locations.
The protesters were demanding the recovery of missing persons.
**'Doors open for talks'**
Earlier, Balochistan Home Minister Ziaullah Langove stated that anti-state agendas were becoming increasingly apparent and stressed that the government's doors were open for talks. "Innocent Baloch people are being instigated against the state under an organized conspiracy," said Langove, adding that conspiracies against Pakistan through violence would ultimately fail.
