In the recent PK-22 by-election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bajaur district, the Awami National Party’s (ANP) candidate Nisar Khan emerged victorious with 11,926 votes, based on unofficial and unconfirmed results. The competition was close, with independent candidate Najeebullah Khan securing 10,622 votes and Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) Abid Khan obtaining 10,593 votes. Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) Rahatullah Khan came in fourth with 7,146 votes.
