Some members of the Pakistan cricket team and officials arrived in Lahore in the early hours of Wednesday, following a disappointing end to their T20 World Cup 2024 journey, where they failed to advance past the group stage.

The players and officials arrived at Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport on a private airline flight from Florida, United States. Among those returning were Naseem Shah, Usman Khan, and Senior Manager Wahab Riaz. However, key players like skipper Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Imad Wasim, Azam Khan, and Mohammad Amir were not with them.

Babar Azam is scheduled to return to Pakistan on June 22. Head Coach Gary Kirsten is set to return to his home, while Mohammad Amir plans to extend his stay in the United States for a few more days before heading to England to join Derbyshire.

The global tournament proved challenging for the 'Green Shirts,' who could not progress beyond the league stage. They faced a surprising defeat by the United States and lost a crucial match to India, despite initially being in a strong position. These setbacks prevented their advancement to the Super 8 round, marking a disappointing end to their campaign.
