What kind of weather can Karachiites expect today?
1. Residents of Karachi have longed to break free from sweltering temperatures that recently gripped the port city
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that Karachi will experience partly cloudy conditions today. Despite this, the hot and humid weather is expected to persist over the next 24 hours. The maximum temperature in Karachi is anticipated to range between 34°C to 36°C with a humidity ratio of 76%. Sea winds blowing at 21 kilometers per hour might provide slight relief from the heat.
In the past 24 hours, the minimum temperature recorded was 31°C. The Met Office also predicts that most districts of Balochistan will experience hot and humid weather, with a chance of rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder in Zhob, Shirani, Musa Khel, Barkhan, and Khuzdar.
Karachi residents have been hoping for a break from the sweltering heat, but so far, only drizzle in some areas has slightly improved the weather. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz mentioned that the city is likely to witness rains after July 8, as the PMD has predicted "vigorous monsoon activity" in the upper and central parts of the country due to strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
