Supreme Court begins hearing SIC petition on reserved seats

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Tuesday began hearing the petition of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), an ally of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), related to reserved seats in the assemblies.

A 13-member full court bench of the apex court is hearing the SIC's petition challenging the Peshawar High Court's (PHC) judgement regarding the reserved seats.

The bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, comprised Justices Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Munib Akhtar, Yahya Afridi, Aminuddin Khan, Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Ayesha Malik, Athar Minallah, Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Shahid Waheed, Irfan Saadat Khan and Naeem Akhtar Afghan.
