Robyn Lively, the beloved actress known for her role in *Teen Witch*, recently opened up about the 1989 cult classic and its potential reboot. During an interview at the premiere of the new Paramount+ series *Landman* in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 12, Lively reflected on the lasting impact of *Teen Witch*, which will celebrate its 35th anniversary in 2024.
At 52, Lively expressed her gratitude for the film’s enduring popularity, noting how excited she is that younger generations are now discovering it. "Honestly, it’s so beloved to me because it resonates with so many people. I absolutely love it, and I cherish this film," she said, revealing her deep emotional connection to the project.
She attributed much of the film’s appeal to its sweet message, saying, "It’s just so campy, and fun, but it’s got a really sweet message, and I think that’s why people love it so much."
When asked about the possibility of a *Teen Witch* reboot, Lively enthusiastically agreed, saying, "Yes, 100%," and even mentioned she had someone in mind to cast. "I would be Louise. But for me, the story would be the mom, the daughter. Passing that onto my 16-year-old. Wouldn’t that be fun?" she added with a laugh.
*Teen Witch* was a romantic comedy where Lively played Louise Miller, a high school outcast who receives magical powers on her 16th birthday from a fortune teller, Madame Serena (Zelda Rubinstein). Louise uses her newfound abilities to gain popularity, get revenge on bullies, and win over her crush, the football team captain.
