Paul Mescal shares working experience with Denzel Washington in 'Gladiator II'

Paul Mescal has opened up about his experience working with Denzel Washington on *Gladiator II*.
In an interview with GQ magazine, the 28-year-old actor admitted he felt intimidated by the Hollywood legend during the production of the action sequel. “I built it up in my head. I was like, ‘Okay, today’s the day that Denzel’s going to be on set,’” Paul recounted.
He added, “I was so incapacitated by it that I suddenly thought, ‘This is so stupid. I have a job to do.’”
Despite Mescal's initial nerves, Denzel praised his co-star’s professionalism, describing him as a “pro on set.” He noted, “He knows what he’s doing, he knows how to do it. It’s easy to work off of him because he’s giving you something. There’s a quiet dignity, strength, and intelligence that he has, even just when he’s standing there.”
