Karachi weather update: City to remain hot, rain likely in suburbs
1. Port city's temperature will likely fluctuate between 36°C to 38°C with 69% humidity in air
KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast continued hot and humid weather for the port city on Friday.
According to the PMD, Karachi will experience hot and humid conditions over the next 24 hours, with the possibility of rain and thunderstorms in some areas and the suburbs. The city's temperature is expected to range between 36°C to 38°C, with humidity levels at 69%.
A brief spell of rain provided some relief from the sweltering heat on Thursday, but the coolness was short-lived as humidity quickly returned.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has predicted more showers over the next two days, which may reduce the intensity of the heat. Despite the expected rainfall, the overall weather in Karachi will remain hot, with temperatures ranging from 37°C to 38°C.
Sarfaraz noted that the heat is likely to persist until the lower air pressure dissipates, but sea breezes are expected to bring some relief starting tomorrow evening. Areas including Central, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Surjani, Nazimabad, and Gadap are likely to experience heavy rain showers during the upcoming spell.
