Justin Baldoni's lawyer slams Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds' SNL appearance

1. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds under fire for making light of sexual harassment allegations
Justin Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has called out Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for attending the SNL 50: Anniversary Special on February 16, despite the ongoing lawsuit tied to the film It Ends With Us.
Lively, 37, and Reynolds, 48, made a high-profile appearance at the event, walking the red carpet and watching from the audience. At one point, Reynolds even addressed the headlines, responding with a smirk when asked, “How’s it going?”—“Great, why? What have you heard?”
Speaking on the February 17 episode of Hot Mics with Billy Bush, Freedman criticized the couple’s public outing, suggesting it was a calculated move to shift focus away from the lawsuit.
“I’m unaware of anybody, frankly, whose wife has been sexually harassed and has made jokes about that type of situation,” Freedman said. “I can’t think of anyone who’s done anything like that. It surprised me.”
Freedman also addressed Baldoni’s recent trip to Hawaii with his wife and children, pushing back against any suggestion that it was a getaway.
“I wouldn’t call it a vacation. I don’t think anybody who has been accused of heinous—arguably criminal—acts is on ‘vacation,’” he said. “I think he’s just trying to be with his family and find some peace.”
Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December, accusing him of sexual harassment and retaliation on the set of It Ends With Us. Baldoni denied the allegations and responded with a countersuit in January, alleging defamation and extortion against Lively, Reynolds, and others.
