**Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6** publisher Rockstar Games has reportedly angered Martyn Ware, a member of the British synth-pop band Heaven 17, with their offer to feature their song.
Ware claimed on X that Rockstar offered $7,500 to use Heaven 17's 1983 hit “Temptation” in the upcoming GTA 6. He expressed his disappointment, noting that the offer was significantly lower than anticipated.
"I was recently contacted by my publishers on behalf of Rockstar Games about the possibility of using 'Temptation' in GTA 6," Ware posted. “Naturally excited about the immense wealth that was about to come my way, I was dismayed to see the offer was just $7,500. For context, GTA 6 is expected to gross around $8.6 billion, following in the footsteps of GTA 5."
Reports indicate that GTA 6 is poised to be one of the most immersive open-world games ever created, with development costs estimated around $2 billion. The game is rumored to be priced at $150, reflecting its anticipated high production value.
There are also rumors of a delay in the game’s release, with some sources suggesting it may not debut until 2026. This speculation follows claims from GTA 5 modder Liam, who suggested that internal delays at Rockstar Games might push the release to early to mid-2026. Previously, Take-Two Interactive had announced a Fall 2025 release window for GTA 6.
The only trailer released so far for GTA 6 revealed a setting in a fictional Vice City, inspired by Miami, and introduced the franchise’s first playable female character.
