Drake reacts to Kendrick Lamar heading Super Bowl sans words
1. Drake's posts speak louder than words amid Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl gig
Drake has made his feelings known, without saying a word, following the news that his rival, Kendrick Lamar, will headline the Super Bowl halftime show.
Taking to social media, the *One Dance* artist posted a series of photos of his friend and collaborator Lil Wayne, without any captions.
These images surfaced amid criticism from some in the hip-hop community, who felt that Lil Wayne, affectionately known as Weezy, was overlooked in favor of Kendrick Lamar.
Drake's post subtly hinted at his support for Lil Wayne, suggesting that the rapper, who had previously expressed a desire to headline the Super Bowl in his hometown of New Orleans, would have been a better fit for the coveted performance.
Drake wasn’t the only one disappointed by the decision. Nicki Minaj, a close collaborator and friend of Lil Wayne, voiced her frustration on social media.
“Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what’s good,” she tweeted in solidarity.
