LONDON –  Babar Azam, the captain of the national cricket team,  said that it is regrettable to lose the series against England, pointing out that it was necessary to win the series to go into the T20 World Cup with high spirits.

Speaking at a press conference after the match in London, national captain Babar Azam said that the World Cup is a completely different game and they will deliver better results in it.

He mentioned that undoubtedly, the batsmen did not bat responsibly in the middle overs and lost wickets. Due to the consecutive fall of wickets, they could not achieve a big score.

Babar Azam said that the bowlers also did not bowl well and gave away too many runs. Everyone, including Azam Khan, was selected on merit. Questions arise after a defeat.

He further stated that the players will have to play modern cricket and increase the strike rate to win.

In response to a question, Babar Azam said that he is not familiar with the conditions in the USA but is well aware of the conditions in the West Indies. All players know their roles, and in the World Cup, all players will have to take responsibility. To get back on the winning track, they will have to play modern cricket.
