In a display of integrity, the Motorway Police exhibited exemplary honesty by returning a woman's jewellery, valued at Rs400,000, which she had inadvertently left behind on a bus.

According to a spokesperson for the Motorway Police, the family, traveling from Karachi to Lahore, accidentally left behind their valuable jewellery while disembarking from the bus. Upon realizing their loss, they promptly contacted the helpline 130 to report the missing items.

Subsequently, patrolling officers Imran and Umar discovered the jewellery inside the bus near Samundri city, located in the Faisalabad district. The officers then contacted the family and safely returned the jewellery bag to its rightful owners.

While instances of recovering lost valuables are rare, this incident underscores the dedication of law enforcement personnel to uphold integrity and assist citizens in distress.

In a similar episode in August 2023, Karachi police successfully retrieved lost gold jewellery worth Rs4 million and promptly returned it to its owner.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, Hasan Sardar Niazi, recounted the incident involving a female passenger named Saira Mustafa Sheikh, who arrived in Karachi from Islamabad. Upon realizing that one of her bags was missing upon arrival home, she recalled having forgotten it on the luggage trolley at the airport's parking area.

Saira Mustafa Sheikh promptly filed a complaint with the Airport Police Station, detailing the contents of the missing bag, including jewellery worth Rs4 million, Rs40,000 in cash, various bank cards, and important documents.
