NEW DEHLI  – At least 33 people died due to heat strokes due to severe heatwave in different parts of India, the local media reported on Saturday.

The extreme heatwave continued in India, with the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha being the most affected.

In the heat-affected Indian states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha,  at least 33 people including officials on election duty died due to heat strokes.

TEMPERATURE IN NEW DEHLI

Meanwhile, in the Indian capital, Delhi, the country’s highest temperature so far was recorded this week at 52.9 degrees Celsius.

However, a drop in temperature is expected in the coming days in northwest and central India.

On the other hand, the Indian Meteorological Department predicted that the current heatwave in eastern India is likely to continue for another two days.
